During our takeover of energievergelijken.nl I was tasked to come up with a new design. We had a external art director who did the branding. I was responsible for the UX and UI

The assignment

Energievergelijken.nl had been the number 1 ranking website on Google for energy comparisons for a long time. When Pricewise acquired it, we aimed to revitalize the design. The website felt a bit outdated, so we rebranded it to appeal to the youth and create a more vibrant experience.

The old website felt very outdated.

The approach

We engaged an external Art Director to spearhead the branding initiative. The objective was to imbue our design language with enhanced emotional appeal through the use of real people. The focus on user experience guided our decision-making throughout the process.

To meet tight deadlines, I implemented HTML changes in the Google editor to have something to work with on live during the design process.

The result

By optimizing the layout and providing ample whitespace, the page became more user-friendly and visually appealing. However, due to a strategic shift in Pricewise’s objectives, focusing solely on Pricewise and discontinuing white-label initiatives, we had to halt further development on this particular website. Thats why this mockup is also missing some functional details.
Nevertheless, the UX improvements made during the project have contributed to our broader understanding and expertise in crafting intuitive and user-centric designs.
